Kristian Huselius, LW
2009/11/20: Kristian Huselius has six points in three games since returning to Columbus lineup from a shoulder injury. "Kristian is skating so much better," coach Ken Hitchcock said. "When he's skating, he's a very effective player for us." Huselius netted two goals, with one coming shorthanded and the other being on the power play, in the Blue Jackets' 4-1 win over Dallas on Thursday. He also added an assist in the contest. Samuel Pahlsson, C
2009/11/20: Samuel Pahlsson (elbow) sat out Thursday's game. Pahlsson has missed three games now after getting fluid drained from his elbow. Look for the third line center to return on the weekend. He is one of the NHL's top checking centers but does not have much in the way of fantasy value. (Source: Columbus Dispatch) |

Nikita Filatov, LW/RW
2009/11/20: Columbus GM Scott Howson says that he has already received one trade offer for Nikita Filatov. Filatov will play the rest of the season in Russia after being loaned there earlier in the week. The Blue Jackets fully expect Filatov to return in time for training camp next season and do not anticipate trading the ultra-talented offensive forward. The Blue Jackets would be crazy to trade the 19-year-old. Grab him next season in all fantasy pools as he will be on the cusp of a great year. (Source: Columbus Dispatch) |

Jared Boll, RW
2009/11/20: Jared Boll was ordered not to fight during Monday's game against Edmonton. Coach Ken Hitchcock had a specific job for Boll and that involved bothering a certain Oiler. "(Jared) has the ability to get the attention of players further up the food chain," coach Ken Hitchcock said. "He can affect players on the other team who actually impact the game. We didn't need the energy changed at that time. He's getting smarter about it. We gave him a guidance to get another person's attention on that team, and he did a very good job of it." The Blue Jackets were thrilled with his game on Monday. Boll has only five majors this season, but his totals should go up in the near future. (Source: Columbus Dispatch) |
