He was joined in the press box by Ian White, Carlo Colaiacovo, Drew Miller and Jordin Tootoo. Bertuzzi was replaced in the Detroit lineup by Mikael Samuelsson, a bit of a surprise since the Red Wings won on Thursday.

It does not sound like his return is imminent.

Bertuzzi apparently left practice Friday to get an MRI after he could barely walk following Thursday's 5-1 win over St. Louis. Bertuzzi has long been bothered by his back and missed time due to it as recently as last season. The injury is just the latest this season in a long line of ailments for the wounded Red Wings, who will call up Joakim Andersson to replace Bertuzzi on the roster.
