|Assets:||Has great size for the National Hockey League game (6-3, 207 pounds), plus plenty of high-end offensive ability. Can quarterback the power play and owns a great point shot.|
|Flaws:||Needs to learn how to better utilize his size, which should enhance his overall defensive game in spades. That is also required to cement a role as a shutdown defender.|
|Career Potential:||Talented offensive defenseman with good upside.|

Cody Ceci hopes to make an impact | 08/29/2013 11:08 AM
NewsCody Ceci wants to make a positive impression on the Ottawa Senators to try to get into the team's lineup for the 2013-14 campaign.
Impact"If I get sent down, I won't be too disappointed, but I'm going to go into camp with the attitude that I'm trying to make the team," he said. Ceci will take part in a four-team rookie tournament in London next week prior to attending the team's main camp. He may need some seasoning in the AHL before he plays regularly at the NHL level, but he is a good prospect to keep an eye on.

NewsDefenseman Cocy Ceci will be one of 26 players representing the Senators in a four-team rookie tournament between September 5-8 in London, Ontario.
ImpactCeci was the 15th overall selection by the Sens in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, but spent last season with the Owen Sound Attack of the OHL before he joined the Binghamton Senators for the final week of their regular and the subsequent playoffs. He's unlikely to suit up for the big club very much this year, but he remains one of the tops prospects in the Ottawa system.

NewsOttawa prospects Cody Ceci and Matt Puempel will join the Binghamton Senators in the AHL this weekend.
ImpactThe Baby Sens have three games left on their regular-season schedule and currently occupy the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference. "It should be pretty exciting" said Ceci, who was the 15th overall pick in the 2012 draft. "I saw where a lot of other guys were heading to their AHL teams after their junior teams finished and I knew that Binghamton was going to the playoffs." "So once it was over (in Owen Sound), I was kind of waiting for the opportunity.
Ottaw cuts Cody Ceci and Mike Hoffman | 01/18/2013 10:53 AM
NewsCody Ceci and forward Mike Hoffman were Ottawa's final two roster cuts.
ImpactCeci thoroughly enjoyed the abbreviated camp. "I mean, just having a locker beside (Jason) Spezza in the room in the back and then just being partnered with (Chris) Phillips of course, growing up I've always watched him, so being his D partner is something else for me because I am a local guy," he said. He will rejoin the Owen Sound Attack of the OHL after he was traded there this season by the Ottawa 67's. Hoffman will return to AHL Binghamton, where he has 22 points in 34 games this year.
