NewsBrandon Davidson was one of four Edmonton Oilers sent to the minors Wednesday.
ImpactCameron Abney and Kale Kessy will join him in Oklahoma City while winger Mitch Moroz was sent back to the Edmonton Oil Kings of the WHL. Davidson was diagnosed with testicular cancer on Nov. 1, 2012 and has fully recovered. He should spend the whole season in the AHL.

NewsAfter beating cancer, Oilers prospect Brandon Davidson is ready to continue his quest to play in the NHL.
ImpactThe blueliner was a sixth-round pick in the 2010 draft who doesn't have big-time pedigree but has continued to beat every obstacle on his path, the latest of which was testicular cancer, which he was diagnosed with on Nov. 1, 2012. "It has definitely opened my eyes to a lot of things," he said of the experience of beating cancer. "It changed me as a person; it changed my whole outlook on life. You only have so many days. It made me think about what I really want in life, and what I really want is to be an NHL player. It motivated me. Made me stronger. A better person. I overcame a lot there, for a while." Davidson will play in the AHL this season.
