NewsTim Erixon's recently signed one-year contract with Columbus is a one-way deal.
ImpactThat significantly increases Erixon's chances of spending the entire 2014-15 season with the Blue Jackets. That being said, it wouldn't be shocking if he ends up serving primarily as the team's seventh defenseman and consequently spends a fair amount of time in the press box. He had five goals and 38 points in 40 AHL contests in 2013-14.

ImpactErixon was recalled last week and sent back to the minors before getting recalled once again. It appears that the flu is making its way through the Columbus dressing room and the move was a precautionary one as the Blue Jackets are on the West Coast this week and a possible recall might take too much time.

ImpactErixon was the Blue Jackets eighth defenseman out of training camp and instead of having him hang around as a healthy scratch, Columbus sent him to the minors on Friday and he exploded offensively on the weekend. He should be back soon with the big club especially when injuries start to take their toll with the Blue Jackets.
