ImpactIt is the first time the Habs' defenseman had particiapted in a practice this season as he had been recovering from shoulder surgery. Drewiske should be able to play in a game once the NHL resumes play in a few weeks. But it remains to be seen if that will be in Montreal or in the AHL.

ImpactFinancial terms were not disclosed. "We are happy to have come to an agreement with Davis on a two-year contract. He brings experience and most importantly depth to our group of defensemen," said GM Marc Bergevin. He was acquired from the Los Angeles Kings in April and skated in nine regular-season games with the Canadiens. In 29 appearances with Los Angeles and Montreal, Drewiske notched seven points and a plus-3 rating.

ImpactThe goal was the first power play goal by a Los Angeles defenseman this season. Drewiske has a goal and three points in 11 games this season with a plus-two rating so he could be taken off the waiver wire in very deep leagues.
