ImpactIt was Marchand's first goal of the playoffs after he was unable to find the back of the net in the seven game series against Toronto in the opening round. He also picked up his fourth assist in the playoffs as he helped set up the tying goal by Torey Krug early in the third period on the power play. Zdeno Chara opened the scoring for the Bruins and also added an assist. Marchand was apparently injured during the morning skate Thursday but managed to play. Boston fans are sure happy that he was able to.

ImpactMarchand has been a pleasant surprise for fantasy owners with 17 goals and 17 assists in 40 games this season. Marchand can also help your fantasy team with precious shorthanded points as well as power play points. He also owns a very solid plus-22 rating in this 48-game shortened season. Surprisingly however, his scrappy nature hasn't earned him many penalty minutes in 2013.
