NewsAlex Burrows hasn't found the back of the net yet this season.
Impact"Maybe the timing is off a little bit," Burrows said. "You know, finding those tiny lanes to make a pass, or make a play, or taking that extra second to hold on to pucks instead of just chipping it in. But that's not an excuse. I have to be better to help this team win games." Burrows has to wear a jaw protector because of an injury suffered on Dec. 1 and he admitted that it's actually led to some vision problems on the ice. He's usually good for at least 25 goals and around 50 points, but he has just three assists in 22 contests in 2013-14.

"I lost a few pieces of teeth inside," Burrows said. "But it was just more scary that I didn't know what was happening on the outside. Inside my mouth, it was filling up with blood. I put my hand on my neck and I saw a lot of blood right away. That's why I kind of panicked a little bit and tried to get off the ice. I remember as a kid, watching Clint Malarchuk. I remember my parents saying: 'If anything like that ever happens to you, get off the ice and see a doctor as fast as you can.' Obviously, it was far from as serious as that." Eat better and sleep better and if you do all those things, you're going to get your luck." Burrows is too good a player to remain in this slump so he is a good buy low candidate at this time.
