NewsThe Minnesota Wild have inked John Curry to a one-year, two-way deal.
ImpactCurry had a 2.62 GAA and .920 save percentage in 19 AHL games in 2013-14. He's an organizational depth goaltender, which the Wild clearly need given setbacks their netminders suffered in 2013-14.

ImpactCurry was on the bench as Ilya Bryzgalov was between the pipes in a 5-2 loss to the Blackhawks. Darcy Kuemper was injured in Game 7 on Wednesday so Curry got the call to be the backup. He last played on April 10 in a 4-2 win over St. Louis.

NewsJohn Curry faced a lot of rubber, but he emerged victorious after Minnesota's 4-2 defeat of the Blues.
ImpactCurry is the fifth different netminder the Wild has started for a game this season, but he fared exceptionally well in his chance. He stopped 43 of 45 shots to earn a victory and improve his record to 1-0-0. Prior to tonight, he had not played in the NHL since 2009 so his fantasy prospects are somewhat limited.

ImpactCurry was up with the team as insurance because Niklas Backstrom has been dealing with an abdominal issue all season. Kampfer was originally brought up as a practice replacement following the Olympic break. Both of them were healthy scratches on Wednesday.
