And he has displayed a penchant for doing that so far.

"For me, (my mindset) is just to stay focused and try to stop every puck," Rask said. "No matter what happens out there, you still have to do the job properly. If it's 5-1, 4-1, 10-1, you still want to compete. That's what it's all about."

The Bruins will look to advance to the second round when the two teams face off on Friday.

I just try to play as good as I can and help the team to win the series and see where that leaves us." The Bruins have had trouble scoring this season, so they'll need him to be at his best. He could also increase his profile with a strong showing in the playoffs, as he is slated for restricted free agency this summer.

Tuukka Rask thinks the fact that the NHL and union are negotiating with a hard deadline in mind is beneficial.
"I think it's good, so you actually have a deadline," Rask said. "I know that can't be the case right from the beginning. It would have been great if everyone knew, `This is the date.' But we've got it now and time's running low, so something's going to happen." The belief is that if the season can't start by Jan. 19, then it will be canceled.
