"You've really got to tip your hat to them, the three of them, they've done a good job at becoming a top line in the National Hockey League," Noel said. "Whereas before, even last year, you're like, 'Are they or aren't they or what are they?' Well, it's pretty hard to argue right now. They've certainly matured there." Evander Kane is the only forward outside that trio who has produced somewhat consistently this campaign.

"It was nice to see some results, for sure," Andrew Ladd said. "We were struggling a little bit putting the puck in the net, and to finally get some offence going was definitely a great thing for us." ImpactThere's a week left for an agreement to be made, so players' on-ice workouts have increasingly become more serious. Whether a season starts by Jan. 19 doesn't matter as many players could look to play elsewhere over the next few months, so it's a benefit to get into better shape. "I just got back today and you can just tell skating out here that the intensity's up a bit and guys are skating at the end and doing some extra stuff and we've added some more days of skating," Bryan Little said. "It seems like everyone's preparing for something."
