Glencross ends the season with 15 goals in 40 games, which is likely more than his fantasy owners expected at the start of the campaign.

Curtis Glencross was never on trade block | 04/06/2013 10:53 AM
NewsCurtis Glencross wasted zero energy worrying about a potential trade before the NHL's deadline this week because the Flames assured him it wouldn't happen.
ImpactIn fact, general manager Jay Feaster called Bob Hartley and asked his coach to tell Glencross that a media report claiming his availability was, simply put, garbage. Glencross, 30, is pleased about that although he admits he's bracing himself for some tough times with the listless Flames. It's tough," Glencross conceded. "I'm the kind of guy too that I wear my emotion on my face quite a bit. When I get frustrated, I'm not scared to yell once in a while on the bench or that kind of stuff."
Report: There's interest in Curtis Glencross | 04/03/2013 8:42 AM
NewsThere's reportedly some interest in Curtis Glencross as we approach the trade deadline.
Impact"I'm not worried about it," Glencross said. "I haven't had our management staff or our owners come to me and ask me to move my no-move clause. It's nothing we can predict. It's not we can do anything about. Obviously, it sucks losing players on your team - and leaders - but it's one of them things that . . . and there's nothing we can do about it." Glencross is signed through 2014-15, so we doubt the Flames feel any urgency to trade him. That being said, they will still likely do so for the right price.

Glencross hopes to become more consistent | 01/16/2013 9:29 AM
NewsCurtis Glencross is hoping to become more consistent this season.
Impact"Every player has stretches where they have a little lull in their game. The next part is . . . to try to get over that," Glencross said. He enjoyed a seven-contest and four-game goal scoring streak in 2011-12, but also went through lukewarm patches. The end result was 26 goals in 67 games. It's not unusual for a player to go through hot-and-cold patches when it comes to goal scoring and the only thing that really set him apart was just how hot he was during his best period of the campaign. Look for Glencross to get about 10-15 goals in the shortened season, but for what it's worth, he's aiming for 20.
