NewsMaxime Talbot left Thursday's game temporarily after being knocked into the boards face first by the New York Rangers' Benoit Pouliot.
ImpactTalbot needed to undergo testing in an attempt to determine if he had a concussion, but fortunately the results were good. He needed some work on his nose, but that didn't keep him from returning to finish Philadelphia's 2-1 win. "When you feel you're fine to come back, you come back," Talbot said. As for Pouliot, he probably won't end up getting suspended. Even Flyers coach Craig Berube called it an "more of an accident than anything."

He eclipsed 18 minutes of ice time the past two games, so he might become more fantasy relevant, especially with key injuries Friday. Zac Rinaldo and Sean Couturier collected the assists.

In 2011-12, Talbot set career highs with 19 goals and 34 points in 81 contests with the Flyers, but he isn't overly concerned with his current lack of touch around the net. "I don't think I'm here to score goals," he said. "That's not my role as a player. It's something that last year, obviously it was good to score. But that's not my priority. My priority is to play solid every night, and the goals will come." He skated on the fourth line at practice Monday alongside Ruslan Fedotenko and Zac Rinaldo.
