NewsSteve Eminger has reached a preliminary agreement with Admiral Vladivostok of the KHL, according to CSN's Sarah Baicker.

ImpactSport-Express is also reporting that Eminger is set to join the KHL expansion team. Eminger wasn't able to crack the top-six group of the New York Rangers on a regular basis, so it's not surprising that he was permitted to walk as a free agent. He had three assists and a plus-9 rating in 35 games last year.

ImpactHe earned 20:33 of ice time and posted an assist in the Rangers' 4-3 loss to Winnipeg. The club is currently missing Ryan McDonagh and Michael Del Zotto due to injuries so the seldom-used Eminger got his chance to play heavy minutes for the first time this season. His previous high for ice time in 2013 was the 7:20 he played against Philadelphia back on Jan. 24.

Eminger has watched the Rangers' past two games from the press box and he has averaged a mere 5:52 of ice time when he has gotten into the lineup. This type of reassignment has to get the blessing of the player and it can last for a maximum of 14 days.
