In a follow-up discussion, he commented that he wasn't worried about how the fans will react when the team returns home for Thursday's match versus Montreal. "They're proud, passionate fans. I love it," he said. "I think we're all that way. I'm an emotional player. They're emotional fans. We have the same attitude in this dressing room. I think it's great they show they care. Obviously, just looking for that positive atmosphere in that arena. There's a lot of great factors, things to be proud of getting closer to that playoff spot." Ott has eight goals, 21 points and 67 penalty minutes in 40 games during his first season as a Buffalo Sabre.

ImpactThat's not exactly a start to get excited over, but the good news is that he has been getting plenty of playing time. Ott is logging 17:56 minutes per game, including a respectable 2:12 minutes with the man advantage. As long as he continues to get that kind of ice time, the points should start to come. Ott might reach the 25-point mark this season while averaging close to two PIM per contest.
