|Assets:||Handles and protects the puck brilliantly, and has a knack for finding open ice. Is very solid in the defensive zone and a constant threat on offense. Lethal on the power play, he has innate chemistry with twin brother Henrik.|
|Flaws:||Could stand to be a little more assertive and initiate more contact on the ice. Can he still be an elite scorer without his twin brother's help? Perhaps we'll never find out. Isn't much of a penalty-killer, despite sound instincts.|

Byron was given a five-minute major and a game misconduct for boarding. Sedin scored twice in the first period, his 15th and 16th goals of the season. "If I didn't feel good enough to play I would never play, but I was excited about [Friday]," said Sedin. "I knew right away something happened, but it's been three weeks so hopefully [Saturday] is another good day." ImpactSedin was given the monumental task of beating Canada after losing his twin brother, Henrik, along with Johan Franzen, Henrik Zetterberg, and Nicklas Backstrom. With those many top-tier forwards gone, it's no surprise that Sweden couldn't find a way to get past goaltender Carey Price. Sedin finished with three shots on goal.

NewsDaniel Sedin thinks Nicklas Backstrom is a great replacement for his injured twin brother, Henrik, on Sweden's top line.
ImpactBackstrom, like Henrik Sedin, is a superb playmaker. "That's something I'm used to," Daniel Sedin said. "It should be easy." Of course, while Backstrom is filling Henrik's spot on the top line, he isn't really replacing Henrik. Sweden has enough top end talent that their first line will be great with or without both of the twins, but the absence of Henrik hurts their depth.

He ended the night with a goal and two assists and has five points in his last two against the Blackhawks. "Six games feels like forever," Sedin told the team's official website. "We keep saying it's about the process but in the end it's about scoring, we know that, especially when there have been games we are losing 2-1, it's tight, or we are going into overtime or losing in a shootout.
