ImpactThe speedy Hagelin really had his legs going in this one, and that made him a major factor, with a goal and two helpers. He also finished with a game-high plus-three rating and four shots on goal. Derek Stepan had the winner for the second straight game on a nice give-and-go with Hagelin. Brad Richards and Dan Girardi picked up the other goals for the Rangers, who have now tied the series at two games apiece. Derick Brassard chipped in with two helpers, and he now has five points over his last two tilts.

ImpactThe trio hasn't practiced yet as a unit because Richards has missed the first two days of camp with the flu. However, that could still be the plan that coach John Tortorella puts into effect when he has his full compliment of forwards. Hagelin played stretches of the 2011-12 campaign with Richards so there won't be much of an adjustment needed when he returns from his illness.
