ImpactHe's tied, with teammate and Detroit prospect Tyler Bertuzzi, for the lead in goals with three. Rychel amassed 32 points (11 goals, 21 assists) in the postseason to help the Guelph Storm capture the OHL title. He was drafted 19th overall by the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2013.

He had 51 points in 31 regular-season games and has continued his stellar play in the playoffs, with 11 goals and 21 assists in 20 contests. ImpactRychel was taken with the 19th overall pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. "It's very rare that someone who is (18, 19 on Oct. 7) makes the team in the NHL," Kekalainen said. "There are a lot of very good NHL players, All-Stars, who spent two years in juniors after being drafted. It shouldn't be a disappointment for anybody except maybe the player because he was trying to make the team. But I'm sure he learned a lot in games and here in camp." Rychel should be worth keeping an eye on during next year's training camp.
