ImpactIt was an important goal too as it tied the game 1-1 in the second period after the Sabres were badly outplayed to that point in the contest. "It feels great," Ristolainen said of the goal. "It was a significant goal for us. We tied the game. The guys were good in front of the net, so the goalie didn't see anything." Keep an eye on Ristolainen. He may not be roster worthy this season but we certainly see how he can be a productive two-way rearguard in years to come.

ImpactThis is the latest sign that Ristolainen appears destined to at least open the season with the Sabres.
