|Assets:||Owns massive shutdown upside, thanks largely to great size (6-3, 204 pounds), a physical edge to his game and mobility. Also possesses a little puck-moving and offensive potential.|
|Flaws:||Will at times play a reckless game, which can lead to mistakes and also injuries. His offensive game isn't first-rate, so his bread will be one because of his defensive work in the NHL.|
|Career Potential:||Talented shutdown defenseman with good upside.|

Oscar Klefbom in Edmonton for two weeks | 02/21/2013 9:54 AM
NewsDefenseman Oscar Klefbom (shoulder) is in Edmonton for a couple of weeks to bond with his future teammates.
ImpactKlefbom suffered a shoulder injury in November that required season-ending surgery. Coach Ralph Krueger is having him watch other defensemen in game action while he is travelling with the team. "I had him observe Nick Schultz, Ladi Smid, Jeff Petry, Mark Fistric on our defensive structure against Los Angeles. I want some feedback from Oscar. We're giving him some assignments," Krueger said. "I want him to visualize what kind of role he can have with us." Look for Klefbom to make the Oilers next season, if not at the beginning of the season, then at least part way through.
