ImpactMurray's nine-game trial will officially end Friday night when he participates in his 10th NHL contest. Once he reaches that milestone, this will count as the first season of his entry-level contract. Traditionally, if a rookie is going to be demoted in his first campaign, it will happen before his 10th contest, but the Blue Jackets obviously still have the option to send him back to the WHL later. He is playing alongside James Wisniewski in training camp but could be better served starting the season in the minors where he will get lots of minutes, rather than languishing on the Blue Jackets bench. He is worth taking in keeper leagues but as far as one year pools are concerned, take a wait-and-see approach at this time.
