Murray left Thursday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Los Angeles Kings midway through the second period when Kings forward Dustin Brown flattened him with a thunderous check that appeared to clip Murray's head. The 20-year-old did not return for the rest of the second period, and he missed one shift at the start of the third. But once he was cleared by the medical staff using the NHL's concussion protocol, Murray finished the game. "I kind of felt a little ridiculous, really, sitting back there on the doctor's table," he said. "I thought I could just take a shift off, but they made me go through the whole ordeal." The NHL reviewed the hit but deemed it not worthy of punishment beyond the two minutes Brown received for charging.
