Scouting Report

Assets:	An excellent teammate, he's an extremely industrious forward with plenty of grit and toughness. Is at his best when banging bodies. Will drop the gloves against anyone.
Flaws:	Doesn't have a lot of natural offensive ability, so goals are hard to come by. His skill level for the NHL isn't good enough to log regular ice time.
Career Potential:	Rambunctious part-time enforcer.

Krys Barch tumbled headfirst into the boards on a hit by Philadelphia's Daniel Briere, but he returned to the game and finished it Wednesday night.

"He just kind of caught me there, adjusted my neck for me," Barch joked. "I've been hit harder with a fist than that." Barch has no points and 44 penalty minutes in 20 games this campaign.

He skated on the fourth line with Jacob Josefson and Stefan Matteau during Thursday's practice. Cam Janssen has been occupying that spot so far and it's presently unclear if coach Pete DeBoer wants to tinker with his lineup.
