He is a bottom six player unless Edmonton runs into more injuries at center and should be left on the waiver wire for now.

ImpactAt 5-foot-9 and 165 pounds he gives up a lot in terms of size, but he appears to have the skill to be successful if given the opportunity at an NHL role. Arcobello led the Oklahoma City Barons in scoring during the regular season with 68 points in 70 games and in playoffs with 20 points in 17 contests. He played with Jordan Eberle and Taylor Hall in the AHL last year during the lockout and could get a chance to play with them again as a member of the Oilers if Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (shoulder) isn't ready for the start of the 2013-14 season. He may be worth looking into after training camp as a short-term pickup, but he isn't guaranteed to spend much of the year in the NHL.
