NewsMark Stone wants to stand out at Ottawa's development camp.
Impact"I feel like I need to dominate when I'm out on the ice and show I can play at the next level," said Stone. "When it comes right down to it, if people can see the things I've gone through from my first development camp to my fifth, I'm just trying to show that I've become better over time." He played alongside Kyle Turris and Clarke MacArthur at the end of season when Bobby Ryan was injured. Stone has played 23 games with Ottawa over the past two years. He'll be looking to seize a full-time NHL spot in 2014-15.

ImpactHe had been sidelined with a broken finger, but he returned to play three games last week for AHL Binghamton over the weekend. Stone made his NHL debut in the 2012 playoffs and registered an assist in Game 5 against the New York Rangers. He hasn't played in the regular season yet. It should be noted that Stone was brought up earlier in the day, prior to the announcement of Milan Michalek's likely return Wednesday from injury. It's unclear how that will impact Ottawa's lineup, but the situation should become clearer by Wednesday afternoon.
