ImpactThe 23-year-old blueliner has been sidelined since Sept. 23, but will make his debut this evening. He should be paired with Brian Strait. He totaled three goals and 16 assists in 51 games last season and doesn't hold much fantasy value.

ImpactDe Haan was recalled by the Islanders at the end of November and now has a goal and six points in 21 games with a minus-five rating. The former 12th overall pick in the 2009 Draft had a couple of surgeries last season to repair a wonky shoulder and was expected to spend all season in the AHL but he has impressed the Islanders with his play. He has little fantasy value at this time.

ImpactDe Haan was limited to just three AHL contests in 2012-13 because of shoulder problems that required two surgeries. Because of that, he was expected to spend this season in the minors to just focus on his development. Instead, he's not only playing for the Islanders, but he's averaging 19:49 minutes per contest. "You can see how he's improved every game," Travis Hamonic said. "We have really good communication and he's asking questions about how to play certain guys. It's neat to see that happening right in front of you." In the long run he might have some fantasy value too, but for now he doesn't do nearly enough offensively.

"I thought he was one of our top defenseman out there tonight," coach Jack Capuano said. "He is as advertised. He's poised, good first pass, he makes good decision. I thought his gap was good, good stick. I really liked his game." He does not have any fantasy value at this time.
