The 19-year-old has only one assist in his last 10 games and he's playing on the third line, but Therrien likes what the rookie forward brings to the table. "He's playing a mature game," said Montreal's bench boss. "Sometimes he'll miss a few things, but we'll sit down with him and show him. He's part of every power-play meeting and every penalty-kill meeting. We know he's going to be there and he's going to be ready." Galchenyuk is still adjusting to the NHL game, but he has been decent at both ends of the ice while posting 13 points and a plus-8 rating in 28 games.

ImpactThe rookie fired the pass that Bourque redirected for the win. The fact he's even receiving ice time during overtime says a lot about the coach Michel Therrien's confidence in him. "That's part of the learning process," Therrien said. "He showed a great second effort to stay with the puck going up against a very good defenceman in (Dmitry Kulikov)." Bourque said it best: "There's a reason why he's playing with us and he's only 19 years old. He's very skilled." Galchenyuk has eight points on the year.

"There's been no better feeling in my life so far. ... I won't lie and say I didn't feel any pressure.
