ImpactMcMillan spent 60 games in his rookie season with the Ducks in 2010-11 but has spent most of the last two seasons in the minors as he played only 25 games with four assists last season and only six thus far in 2013 with a measly assist. He has a new chance to play in the desert but is likely a bottom-six forward at best.

ImpactMcMillan saw fourth line action alongside Emerson Etem and Patrick Maroon and was minus-one on the evening. He missed 19 games in the AHL this season with a broken arm and received the call up after scoring four goals in his last eight games for Norfolk of the AHL. "I knew I was playing really well and I knew if I kept playing the same way, I was going to get an opportunity," McMillan said. "I realized I could come back in and be able to prove myself again. Sitting down there and just waiting, it wasn't good enough. It's not good enough. I want to be here and this is where I want to play." Don't expect a lot of stats from McMillan if he remains as a bottom six forward, but he will chip in with an occasional goal.
