Vancouver GM Mike Gillis said the 22-year-old forward will get a second opinion before deciding if the procedure is necessary. He notched three goals and nine points in 31 games for the Canucks during the regular season, but wasn't able to play during the playoffs.

"He certainly looks quick enough and skilled enough to play at this level and his defensive play has been strong," GM Mike Gillis said.
