NewsMark Letestu has seen the Blue Jackets grow substantially as a team since the Pittsburgh Penguins traded him to Columbus in 2011-12.
Impact"When I first got here (from Pittsburgh) it was more about the opportunity to play," Letestu said. "But this feels just as good, being a part of building something, being a part of taking this team to new heights that maybe the organization and the city hasn't seen yet. There's pride now in being a Blue Jacket, building it from the bottom and being a part of it. Now there's an excitement going into the off-season about where we can go and where we can get to. That's something that's pretty special right now. We still finished 15th. It's not like we won a ton of games and set the league on fire. But I don't think there will be any sneaking up on teams now. People have taken notice, and that's a good thing. That's something earned. That's something you want." 2014-15 will definitely be a big campaign for the Blue Jackets. This franchise has endured plenty of hardships and the last thing they want to do is squander the forward momentum they've managed to build.

I don't think there's been any letup by us. I don't think anybody's been intimidated by their skill or the players they have. You see the way our guys go... the guys like Matty Calvert, they'll show you right away that there's no awe." The Penguins beat the Blue Jackets in all five games this season but the playoffs are a different beast and it should be close.
