ImpactHe hasn't played this season because of a hip injury he suffered back in September. Pinizzotto won't have any fantasy value if he eventually finds his way back to the Panthers.

We had him assessed by our doctors and the decision was rendered to keep him away from the team. He's being assessed again today." Pinizzotto has picked up five penalty minutes and 11 hits, with no points in four games this season.

Impact"I haven't made up my mind yet but there's a chance he'll play tonight," coach Alain Vigneault said. "As a 28-year-old rookie, he should be pretty excited. What I remember about him from training camp (in 2011) is that he was an energy player, he gets in real hard on the forecheck, he had physical edge to his game and a real decent skill set." He has 12 points and 29 penalty minutes in 24 games with AHL Chicago this campaign. If he does play then it will likely be on the fourth line.
