ImpactStalberg was a healthy scratch in Game 1 and was wearing a white jersey in practice Friday, a sign that he would not be dressing for Game 2. Stalberg is slated to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season but doesn't think sitting in the press box during the playoffs will affect that status. "Whether I'm here next year or not, we'll see what happens. That's something we'll take (up) after the year," Stalberg said. "It's nothing I'm really too concerned about at this point. We'll figure that one out after, hopefully, we hoist the Cup here."

NewsChicago coach Joel Quenneville denied reports that he scratched Viktor Stalberg on Wednesday night because the winger questioned his lack of ice time on the power play.
Impact"First of all, that story is 100 percent inaccurate," Quenneville said Thursday. "Viktor didn't play, he knows the reasons why. It's nothing to do with anything about our conversation. It was strictly nothing to do with that at all. That situation wasn't even addressed." He said that someone had to come out to make room for Dave Bolland's return and "tough decisions" had to be made.

It's all about not getting hit there again and it will be OK." Stalberg has six goals and 17 points this season but has been held off the scoresheet in his last five games. Of course, he did have a good excuse yesterday.

They are currently voting on the new CBA and it's expected to pass Saturday morning.
