"I'm obviously disappointed with the league's decision on that but there's nothing I can do about it, so I'm just going to move on," Gryba said. "I still feel it was a shoulder-to-shoulder body check and a hockey play but it's out of my hands. I didn't think there was going to be any more discipline but there was, and that's the game I'm in." Gryba added that while he feels terrible, he doesn't think he'll be changing the way he plays as a result of this incident.

"It's always been a long-time dream to play in the NHL, and to get a goal, it feels good to get the first one out of the way. "I was trying to shoot too hard and I think I didn't quite get all of it, but I guess I got enough of it," Gryba added with a chuckle while holding the first-goal puck in his hand. However, with only four points in 18 games, Gryba is not very fantasy relevant.

ImpactHe was called up on Feb. 15 after the Senators lost Erik Karlsson for the season with a torn Achilles. Gryba has been a strong defensive presence with 15 hits and 13 blocked shots in six NHL games to go with his minus-1 rating. He has also chipped in two assists, eight penalty minutes and 11 shots. His ice time has been on the raise since he arrived and he played a season-high of 23:15 against Montreal on Monday night. He's a player to keep an eye on if your fantasy league is deep and it rewards defensive-minded categories.
