|Assets:||Owns tremendous size and strength, and is at his best when working the corners of the ice. Is physical and plays with a warrior's mentality (most of the time). Is faster than most think, and has what it takes to score goals, including a bullet for a shot.|
|Flaws:||Consistency continues to escape him, which he needs in order to hit the next level of his development. Has to play with an edge at all times, since he cannot get by with talent alone. Must also continue working on his play away from the puck and in his own end.|
|Career Potential:||Inconsistent but talented power forward with a little upside.|

Chris Stewart blanked as Blues eliminated | 05/11/2013 1:28 AM
NewsChris Stewart was held off the scoresheet again in the St. Louis Blues' series-ending 2-1 loss Friday night.
ImpactStewart finished the postseason with just one assist in six games after leading the Blues in scoring during the regular season. Stewart and his linemates were often given a defensive role against the Kings, but that's still not reason enough for a player of Stewart's caliber to be so inept offensively in the playoffs. The Blues have never been an offensive juggernaut under coach Ken Hitchcock, but it's pretty clear they'll need to find a way to improve their scoring next season if they finally want to make a deep playoff run.
Blues' Stewart has found it tough to adjust | 05/10/2013 5:21 PM
NewsChris Stewart was St. Louis' leading scorer during the regular season, but he has only one assist in five game against Los Angeles in the playoffs.
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Impact"Stewy is the leading scorer on our team, so it's tough to accept a role of negating the other team's line or canceling the other line out," said linemate Andy McDonald. "I think we expect to score and have success. We've had a number of chances and we've failed to capitalize. But I really think that we can continue to improve. It's right there for us."

St. Louis Post-Dispatch
ImpactStewart has 31 points in 39 games this season. He enjoyed an incredible hot streak between mid-February and mid-March, but he has just two points in his last nine games. All the same, it wouldn't be surprising if he finishes the 2013 campaign on a high note.
Sizzling Chris Stewart has 8 goals in March | 03/24/2013 11:31 AM
NewsRight winger Chris Stewart is on fire with the St. Louis Blues.
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
ImpactStewart scored early in the Blues' 3-0 shutout of the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday night. The resurgent Stewart has 16 points for the month, which perhaps is not so surprising. During his career, Stewart has scored 54 points in 65 games in March. Equally remarkable, all eight of Stewart's goals this month have come at even strength.

NewsChris Stewart scored a pair of goals for the Blues on Thursday in a 3-0 defeat of the Coyotes.

Linemates Alexander Steen (one goal, two assists) and David Backes (two assists) also got into the action as the trio registered all three goals in the game.

Chris Stewart has caught fire in last month | 03/08/2013 11:08 AM
NewsChris Stewart had a goal and three assists in Thursday's 6-3 win over Phoenix.
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
ImpactStewart has exploded with five goals and 16 points in his last 13 games. He's got a lot of potential, so we wouldn't rule out the possibility of him maintaining a point-per-game pace. At the same time, his lack of playing time is a red flag. He's averaging 14:60 minutes per game and his hot streak hasn't changed that.
Stewart remains hot in loss to Kings | 03/06/2013 1:38 AM
NewsChris Stewart notched a goal and an assist in St. Louis' tough 6-4 loss to Los Angeles on Tuesday evening.
ImpactStewart has really picked it up of late, tallying at least one point in eight of his past 12 games. He now has 16 points in 22 games. The 25-year-old winger could be of use to fantasy owners who are lacking in the points department. Continue monitoring his production over the next few weeks. David Perron and Alex Pietrangelo also added a goal and an assist apiece in the loss.
Chris Stewart nets 7th goal for winning Blues | 02/23/2013 11:37 PM

ImpactThe Blues, who never trailed in this one, got their other goal from David Perron, his sixth of the season.
Chris Stewart is a different player in 2013 | 02/13/2013 11:17 PM
NewsChris Stewart had a goal and an assist in the Blues' 4-3 overtime win over the Red Wings on Wednesday night.
ImpactStewart is a different player this season. After slogging through last season's campaign with 15 goals 30 points, he now has six goals and eight points in 13 games this year -- and he's still getting over a penalty minute per game. Alexander Steen was the Blues' hero with the goal in overtime. Vladimir Tarasenko and Patrik Berglund potted the other markers.
Chris Stewart is back to his old self | 01/29/2013 12:23 PM
NewsChris Stewart is off to a great start and is putting his 15 goal effort of last season behind him.
ImpactAfter back-to-back 28 goal seasons, Stewart really disappointed last season as he struggled to a 30 point season. "He lost over 20 pounds in the off-season and came back a lot quicker. He's definitely faster," Blues coach Ken Hitchcock said. "He's way faster, so he's opening up space that he couldn't get to last year. Just from a durability standpoint ... he's lost 20 pounds. Try carrying a 20-pound weight around every day, that's a lot, and he hasn't lost strength. He's lost 20 pounds. He's lost 5 or 6 percent on body fat alone which is really significant, so you're going to be leaner and you're going to be quicker." Stewart has four goals in six games with seven penalty minutes and a minus-one rating. If he is still available in your pool, it is still a good time to grab him off the waiver wire.
Chris Stewart looks in great shape at camp | 01/14/2013 12:33 PM
NewsChris Stewart has lost over 20 pounds since the end of last season.
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
ImpactStewart had a poor season in 2011-12 as he managed only 15 goals and 30 points in 79 games a far cry from what he was expected to do. He played in the German second division during the lockout with Wayne Simmonds and managed six goals and 20 points in 15 games. Look for Stewart to get 20-25 points this season if he is a top-six forward.
