ImpactHe has six points in 64 games to go with an abysmal minus-32 rating, which places him in a tie for the worst among NHL defensemen. Weber was a pleasant surprise for the Sabres a year ago, but this season has been a complete disaster for him and for the team as a whole.

ImpactSo much so that Nolan made him an assistant captain Friday in place of the injured Henrik Tallinder. "This guy, he competes all the time," Nolan said. That said, Weber has a horrible minus 20 plus/minus rating and has registered only two assists in 29 games. He does chip in the odd penalty minute here and there but despite Weber's rise in stature in Buffalo he is not worth rostering.
