Assets:	Is a versatile forward with some offensive acumen. Can also play a gritty game. Produces quality numbers at lower levels.
Flaws:	Needs to get bigger and stronger in order to better his chances of sticking in the NHL. Must also improve on the little things.

Chris Mueller is making it difficult for the Nashville Predators to send him back to the minors with his excellent play.

Mueller potted his second goal of his NHL career on Monday but his work at center and the faceoff draw is helping to keep him in the NHL. Mueller has won 34 of 52 faceoffs for a 65.2 winning percentage and coach Barry Trotz is more than pleased with the 27-year-old's play. "(Mueller) had a little bit of a slow start, and now he?Ts up to our national league game," Trotz said. "He has given us really no reason the last couple of games to have him go down. He's done what we've asked. He's making a case for himself." We cannot recommend him at this time but if you need help in faceoffs, then Mueller may be your man.

He leads the Milwaukee Admirals with 18 goals and is second on the club in points (36) in 2012-13. Mueller has three assists in 19 career NHL contests with the Predators. He hasn't played with the big club yet this campaign.

Chris Mueller thinks being able to play in the AHL during the lockout gives him an edge going into the shortened season.

"You can train all you want in the summer, but nothing relates to the game," Mueller said. "You're more comfortable. Your timing and speed is up, so hopefully that translates to having success up here." Mueller has 12 goals and 20 points in 34 AHL games this season.
