Andrew Cogliano has been a solid this season as the teams' energy line center. This could arguably be his best season since his rookie season where he set his career high in goals (18) and points (45). In fact, in 47 games he has scored 13 goals and 23 points while he scored 13 goals and 26 points in 82 games last season. He has really taken off in Anaheim but he isn't likely to be drafted by many people this spring.

Cogliano has played in 456 straight games since starting his NHL career in 2007-08. He has 12 goals and 22 points in 46 contests in 2013. "I can honestly say that he's had one bad game this year," Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau said. "Everything else has been effort, effort, effort. Never quitting and doing all the right things."

Cogliano is having a nice fantasy season with 12 goals and 22 points to go with a plus-15 rating although he has only four penalty minutes.

Cogliano has eight goals and 13 points in 20 games this season. He has endured prolonged slumps and his points have come in bunches, making him a potentially frustrating player to own. On top of that, his shooting percentage is ridiculously high right now, so we don't expect him to maintain his current pace. All that being said, this might be the start of a hot streak, so he's a decent short-term pickup if you're in a gambling mood.

The winger now has four goals -- all of which have come over the last three games -- and eight points on the season. Corey Perry and Matt Beleskey each scored and recorded assists, while Bobby Ryan potted the other one. Ryan Getzlaf had two helpers.

Cogliano is playing on the third line with the Ducks, alongside Saku Koivu and Daniel Winnik in what has been one of the top scoring third units in the NHL. "You know what, I think I've been playing well," Cogliano said. "This is probably the most consistent I've played in my career. Sometimes it doesn't goes in, sometimes it does. I've been really happy with how I've been working. Playing with those guys." He has five points and a plus-four rating.

It's only one game but the line scored twice in leading the Ducks to a 7-3 win Saturday. The speedy line gave Anaheim some scoring punch that has been lacking from their third line of late. "I think our plan to play good defensive sound hockey," Cogliano said. "Maybe against other team's top lines but do that in an offensive way. At the end of the day, the only way to really shut down a good line is to play offensively in their end. Because they're not in your end." While we cannot recommed taking any of the trio in fantasy pools, a good showing will go a long way to helping the Ducks grab a playoff spot.
