NewsTanner Glass suffered an upper body injury in the second period Saturday and did not return.
ImpactGlass blocked a couple of shots and then did not see any more action. Coach Dan Bylsma said that Glass would be re-evaluated after the game. He has two goals and six points in 24 games with 38 penalty minutes so he could be of some value in traditional pools that are deep when healthy. Consider him day-to-day for now.

"It's funny, because you do the same things, you go to the same areas and just try to play physical, and sometimes the puck bounces for you and sometimes it doesn't," Glass said. It's tough to say that whenever it goes 45 games or whatever it did last year, but in the job we're in, if you try to be a defensive position all the time and defensive responsibilities are your main focus, you might not get a bounce for a few games." Glass is more of a penalty minute contributor to your fantasy team so the early offensive stats are welcome but not expected.

ImpactHe also has 34 penalty minutes but is unsatisfied with his complete lack of offense and minus-8 rating. "It's frustrating to see zeroes across the board and be a minus player," he said. "So far, I'm bringing some things to the team that I was brought here to do, but it is frustrating to see numbers like that." Glass posted career-highs of five goals and 16 points in 78 games with Winnipeg last season, so when he finally does start to produce it won't by anything substantial.

ImpactHe will return to North America to await a resolution on a possible 2012-13 NHL season. If the lockout continues then he may go back to the Slovak Extraliga. Glass suited up in six games with HC Banska Bystrica, where he recorded one assist and a jaw-dropping 75 penalty minutes.
