The 28-year-old journeyman was a scoring star many years ago with the Peterborough Petes of the OHL but has not distinguished himself in the AHL since being selected in the 4th round and 112 overall in the 2003 draft. Tardiff is nice story but he has no fantasy value as he will be playing on the Bruins' fourth line alongside Lane MacDermid and Gregory Campbell.

The Bruins suffered injuries to forwards Patrice Bergeron (shoulder), Shawn Thornton (head) and Daniel Paille (eye) in Thursday's 7-4 loss to the Sabres. Tardif was likely recalled to help fill out the roster in case more than one of those is unable to play Saturday against the Maple Leafs.
