NewsJiri Hudler has four assists in the Flames' past five games.
ImpactCalgary hasn't played well, going 0-2-1 on its recent homestand, but Hudler has been one of the NHL's most consistent players and has done very well on the road, which the Flames will be on tonight when they face the Jets in Winnipeg.
Hudler has been remarkable consistent | 11/15/2013 5:22 PM
NewsJiri Hudler has been one of the most consistent producers for the 2013-14 season.
ImpactIn ROTO leagues, streaks are manageable because you're essentially after overall seasonal production, but in head-to-head leagues where the results are dependent upon weekly production, consistency is a key to success. Hudler has been one of the most consistent producers so far this season, as he's posted 19 points in 19 games, and has only registered a goose egg in five of the Flames' 19 contests (point-rate in 73.7 percent of his games). The reasoning behind his success has been the role that he's been playing in Calgary, he's number one in terms of overall ice-time among forwards (19:36), number one in terms of power-play ice-time (3:57), and he's also among the leaders in terms of shots on goal (32). There may be many poolies who are doubters out there, but as long as he's sustaining those types of quality numbers, his fantasy production and consistency should continue.

Hudler extends points streak to eight games | 10/22/2013 9:26 AM
NewsJiri Hudler is riding an eight-game point streak.
ImpactThat's put Hudler in a tie for fourth place in the NHL with 11 points in eight contests. Hudler has never quite lived up to his potential in the past or come anywhere near to the 21:06 minutes per game he's been averaging this season. With that in mind there's reason to believe that his recent success has been more than just a hot start. We don't expect him to maintain his current pace, but at the same time, it wouldn't be shocking to see him surpass the 60-point mark.

NewsJiri Hudler is tied for 10th place in the NHL's scoring race.
ImpactHudler scored his third goal on Wednesday to give him eight points in six contests. Although he's never sustained anywhere near that pace in the past, we're growing increasingly optimistic about him this season. He's had this potential to break out for a while, but his playing time has always been lacking, until now at least. He's averaging 21:22 minutes per game and that's likely to continue on a Flames team that lacks star forwards. Hudler is definitely not a safe bet, but you should start regarding him as a 60-70 point player.

My game's on the way it should be - you start training camp, settle in, make sure you're ready for it physically and focus. Last year was hectic (after the lockout). This is just better." Stay tuned as Hudler should get 55-60 points if he remains healthy.

The Flames are limited in offensive talent, making him one of the few players worth owning on Calgary. While he's posting these numbers he is a must start in all formats.
