|Assets:||Has tremendous quickness and two-way aplomb. Can be used in virtually any game situation. Is at his best going north-south and when killing penalties. Can play any forward position, even center if need be.|
|Flaws:||Has to do a better job of displaying consistency in all aspects of the game, something he struggles with. Needs to win more battles along the wall in order to allow his offensive tools to yield better results.|
|Career Potential:||Inconsistent two-way forward.|

Christopher Higgins could return to lineup | 04/22/2013 10:37 AM
NewsChristopher Higgins could return to the lineup Monday after missing six games with a knee injury.
ImpactIf Higgins does draw back into the lineup, he'll line up on the third line with Jannik Hansen and Derek Roy. The Canucks will have lots of firepower heading into the playoffs if all hands on deck are healthy and should not be overlooked in playoff pools.

ImpactThe deal is reportedly worth $2.5 million per season. While Higgins certainly isn't relevant to fantasy owners anymore, he is a solid depth piece for the Canucks. If he somehow ends up on the top line with the Sedins or with newly acquired Derek Roy, it's possible Higgins could merit some spot-start or deep league consideration.
Chris Higgins has two point night in 3-2 loss | 04/02/2013 1:41 AM
NewsChristopher Higgins scored his ninth goal of the season and added an assist in the Canucks 3-2 loss to the San Jose Sharks.
ImpactHiggins days as a fantasy relevant player have been over since his last season in 2007-08, but he has been solid piece for the Canucks. He is a player that is much better in real life than in fantasy. He can line up in the top six because of his speed, work ethic and solid shot, but he is much better suited as a third liner. He has had moments on the top line with the Sedin's, so keep your eye on him if you need a possible plug-and-play in match-up formats.

ImpactThe Canucks have been shuffling their lines around and Higgins is the latest to play with Daniel and Henrik Sedin. Higgins played 20:25 minutes and was minus-one. He has seven goals and 11 points in 31 games with a minus-seven rating. That being said, he is worth picking up if he remains on the top line.

NewsChristopher Higgins will probably miss Thursday night's game against Phoenix after tweaking something in his back.

Higgins has five points in seven games | 03/11/2013 10:09 AM
NewsChristopher Higgins scored a goal in Vancouver's 4-2 loss Sunday.
ImpactHiggins has heated up lately with four goals and five points in seven games. He's not the most consistent of players, but the flip side of that is he's worth owning when he's hot. All the same, we can't get too excited about him as he'll likely end up with around 25 points in 2013.
Christopher Higgins still pointless in 2013 | 01/29/2013 12:41 PM
NewsChristopher Higgins does not have a point in six games this season.
ImpactHiggins did not play overseas during the lockout and his lack of ice time is likely hurting his cause at this time. "Without any exhibition games, players usually have a significant number of games under their belts and they don't cost you any points in the standings," GM Mike Gillis said. "Chris is like many other players. Some have hit the ground running for whatever reason and some are having slower starts. I think the most important thing is that we get through this segment and not have many injuries and get ready for game 10 and onward." If he is on your roster, reserve him for now.
