ImpactObviously, this is not the start Murray or the Canadiens envisioned when he agreed to a one-year deal a little over a month ago. Missing the first month of the season has the potential to put him a step behind for a while after he returns. They have moved it up to 85.7 percent this season where power play efficiency is at 19.9 percent so they are well above average as they are tied for the sixth best in the NHL. "Very important," coach Todd McLellan said of Murray's role when the Sharks are shorthanded. "You can see the dynamic that he plays in those situations. Our penalty kill has been successful lately, and he plays a big role in it. But, it's not about the one, it's about the four - or last night in overtime, the three, in that case." His stellar play on the penalty kill is keeping him in the lineup.
