Assets:	Has good size and strength. Is willing to play a physical game. Can put up points at lower levels and also be used as a role player in the National Hockey League.
Flaws:	Lacks the game-to-game consistency required to see regular ice time at the highest level. Isn't skilled enough to produce offense on a regular basis in the NHL.
Career Potential:	Big depth winger.

New York opened training camp with 22 players on their roster and now they have 23. Segal's promotion is probably because Arron Asham will be suspended for Saturday's season-opener at Boston because of his actions in Game 3 of the 2012 playoffs against Philadelphia.
