"It wasn't a life-threatening situation but it's scary when you have four or five doctors at the bedside trying to determine what's wrong," said Gionta. He will play on a line with Lars Eller and Max Pacioretty.

That's just my personality. I'm not the guy who's going to get caught up in stuff and worry about it. Things work out for a reason. They happen the way they're supposed to." He has served as the team's captain since Sept. 29, 2010 and he's provided the organization with solid leadership. Gionta is currently rehabbing from his biceps tendon surgery.
