Mike Mottau was waived by Toronto on Wednesday.
The Leafs also cut forwards Ryan Hamilton, Keith Aucoin and Greg Scott from their training camp roster by placing them on waivers. They will all likely head for the Marlies in the AHL if they clear.

The veteran defenseman had been playing with the team's AHL affiliate, putting up seven points in 16 games. He played in 35 games with the Bruins last year, tallying a mere two assists. Mottau is obviously a fringe NHL player, so he holds no fantasy value.
