2010/06/28:  The Canadiens have agreed to terms with Tom Pyatt on a one-year contract. RDS is reporting that Pyatt will make $500,000 next year. He appeared in 40 games in 2009-10 with Montreal, while producing five points. He doesn't have any fantasy value. (Source: Habs Inside/Out)
2010/06/24:  The Montreal Canadiens have made qualifying offers to four players, including Carey Price. The Canadiens have made offers to Carey Price, Maxim Lapierre, Sergei Kostitsyn, and Tom Pyatt. All are set to become restricted free-agents on July 1st. Curiously, Benoit Pouliot (who played extremely well for Montreal), did not receive an offer. The moves made by Montreal are pretty standard in the NHL, giving off the intention that they want to get these players under contract. (Source: TSN.ca)
2010/05/24:  Mathieu Darche will play in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Monday. Darche is filling in for Tom Pyatt, who is out with an upper body injury. Darche has one assist and a minus-three plus/minus rating in 10 playoff games. (Source: Montreal Gazette)
2010/05/24:  Tom Pyatt won't play on Monday due to an upper body injury. Pyatt sustained the ailment in Game 4 on Saturday. He's one of the few Montreal players to show any signs of offensive life so far in the Eastern Conference Finals. He scored a goal and registered an assist in Montreal's 5-1 victory on Thursday. However, that's the only game Montreal has managed to win so far and if they can't find a way to beat Philadelphia on Monday, the Flyers will face the Blackhawks in the Stanley Cup Finals. (Source: Montreal Gazette)
2010/05/24:  Tom Pyatt is questionable for Monday's game with an upper body injury. Pyatt has become an important part of the Canadiens and chips in with the odd point. More importantly, his compete level is much higher than the likes of Sergei Kostitsyn, which is one of the most important characteristics in the post-season. With the series on the line, we think Pyatt will play. (Source: Montreal Gazette)
2010/05/23:  Tom Pyatt left Saturday's game for unknown reasons. Pyatt played the first two periods but wasn't on the bench for the third. It is likely an injury, but the Canadiens haven't disclosed any information about it. Consider him day-to-day until more information becomes available. (Source: Habsinsideout.com)
2010/05/21:  The Canadiens line of Dominic Moore, Tom Pyatt, and Maxim Lapierre shined in Montreal's 5-1 victory over Philadelphia on Thursday. The trio combined for two goals and five points Thursday. They aren't known for their offensive abilities, but after being shutout in back-to-back games, Montreal really needed every line to be at their best. Don't expect many more games like this from these three. (Source: Montreal Gazette)
2010/05/20:  Michael Cammalleri sniped in Game 3 as Montreal beat Philadelphia 5-1. Cammalleri scored his playoff leading 13th goal in this contest. He is clearly the spark that the Canadiens had hoped for entering Game 3. When he scores it always puts life into the team, a sign of a leader. Montreal also got big games from both Tom Pyatt and Dominic Moore, both of whom registered a goal and an assist. Brian Gionta scored in the third period, his 8th of the playoffs. Marc-Andre Bergeron scored a late goal in the last minute to make the final 5-1. PK Subban added 3 assists. This game was a whole lot different than the effort put into games 1 and 2. If the Canadiens are able to sustain the pressure they exhibited in this contest, they will have a fighting chance to take the series.
2010/05/06:  The Montreal offense was solid as they beat Pittsburgh 3-2 in Game 4. Tom Pyatt scored a goal to open the game the right way for the Habs. The goal, which involved a bouncing puck, snuck right by Marc-Andre Fleury's pad. Montreal's offense was stagnant until the third period where they picked up two quick goals to vault them into the lead. Maxim Lapierre scored his second goal of the playoffs. 1:33 later Brian Gionta score a goal off the stick of Kris Letang. It seemed as if all the momentum shifted to the Canadiens at this point, especially with the game being in the unfriendly confines of the Bell Centre. They forechecked great and held Pittsburgh pinned in their own end. If the offense continues their fine play it would not be a stretch to see the Habs pull out the series.
2010/04/03:  Ryan O'Byrne scored one goal in the Canadiens' 3-0 win over Buffalo Saturday night. After a rough first period during which he almost put the puck in his own goal while falling on a broken play, and then took an unnecessary roughing penalty, the 25-year old defenseman found a way to beat goalie Ryan Miller with a shot from the point that was redirected off the leg of Sabres' forward Jochen Hecht in front of the Buffalo goal. The marker was the first in 52 games this season for O'Byrne, and just the second of his career. Tom Pyatt and Sergei Kostitsyn registered the other Canadiens' goals.
2010/03/27:  Look for Tom Pyatt to remain in the Montreal lineup Saturday against the Devils. He has impressed Habs' coach Jacques Martin with his defensive work and as a result will dress at the expense of Glen Metropolit and Mathieu Darche against New Jersey on Saturday. (Source: Montreal Gazette)
2010/03/24:  Maxim Lapierre will be a healthy scratch on Wednesday. Tom Pyatt and Mathieu Darche will remain in the lineup for the Canadiens and defenseman Marc-Andre Bergeron will skate on the team's fourth line. (Source: Habs Inside/Out)
2010/03/06:  Tom Pyatt will get a chance to play on Montreal's top line alongside Tomas Plekanec and Andrei Kostitsyn on Saturday against the Kings. Andrei's little brother, Sergei, was demoted to the fourth unit. The Canadiens are looking for more of straight ahead winger to complete the line rather than have two Kostitsyn's playing a lateral game around Plekanec. Keep on eye on Pyatt, and if he succeeds in his new role, pick him up. (Source: Montreal Gazette)
2010/02/28:  The Canadiens recalled Tom Pyatt from their minor league affiliate. Pyatt has 13 goals and 35 points in 41 games in the AHL this season, but has just two points in 22 games with the Habs this year. He has limited fantasy value. (Source: TSN.ca)
2010/02/14:  The Canadiens sent Tom Pyatt to their minor league affiliate. Pyatt has two points in 22 games with the Canadiens this season. (Source: Habsinsideout.com)
2010/02/10:  Tomas Plekanec scored two goals in Montreal's 6-5 overtime win against Washington Wednesday night. Plekanec has three goals and two assists over Montreal's past three contests to give him 60 points in 61 games this season. Scott Gomez and Tom Pyatt each recorded one goal and one assist. Sergei Kostitsyn finished with three assists.
2010/02/10:  The Canadiens recalled Tom Pyatt from the minors. He will lineup on a line with Scott Gomez and Brian Gionta in Benoit Pouliot's spot, who's out until after the Olympic break with a shoulder injury. Pyatt has no points in 19 games with the Canadiens this season. He has 11 goals and 29 points in 36 games with the AHL Bulldogs this season. (Source: Montreal Gazette)
2009/12/18:  Tom Pyatt has been returned to the minors. In 19 games with the Canadiens, Pyatt is yet to record a point. (Source: TSN.ca)
2009/12/16:  Glen Metropolit was demoted to the Canadiens fourth line on Monday. Metropolit will play alongside Tom Pyatt and Georges Laraque in Wednesday's game. Metropolit is being punished for taking a bad penalty that ultimately cost the Canadiens' Saturday's game against Atlanta. Metropolit has seven goals and 16 points in 28 games this season. (Source: Montreal Gazette)
2009/12/08:  Paul Mara (upper body) did not travel with the team to Ottawa for Tuesday's game. He sustained an upper-body injury in the first period of Monday's contest versus Philadelphia and did not return. Tom Pyatt or Ryan White will likely play up front, while Marc-Andre Bergeron will return to defense in Mara's place. (Source: Habs Inside/Out)
2009/12/05:  After starting Thursday's game on a line with Scott Gomez, both Ryan White and Tom Pyatt were healthy scratches Friday night against Boston. Such is the life of inconsistent rookies. Neither White or Pyatt have much fantasy value this season. (Source: Montreal Gazette)
2009/11/14:  Marc-Andre Bergeron led the Habs with four shots as Montreal was downed by Nashville 2-0 Saturday. Roman Hamrlik led the team in ice time with just under 19:30 while finishing with a minus-one. Tom Pyatt, Andrei Kostitsyn, Tomas Plekanec and Jaroslav Spacek each finished with a minus-one as well.
2009/11/12:  Tom Pyatt will play on the second line Thursday. Coach Jacques Martin has loaded up his top line with Scott Gomez, Brian Gionta and Mike Cammalleri in order to generate offense. Pyatt will play with Tomas Plekanec and Andrei Kostitsyn. (Source: Montreal Gazette)
2009/11/05:  Gregory Stewart and Kyle Chipchura will be healthy scratches on Thursday for the Habs. There spots in the lineup will be taken by Ryan White and Tom Pyatt. The two will lineup on the fourth line with Andrei Kostitsyn. (Source: Montreal Gazette)
2009/11/05:  The Canadiens recalled Tom Pyatt from their minor league affiliate. Pyatt has nine points in 11 minor league games this season. He hast little big league fantasy value at this point. (Source: Habsinsideout.com)
2009/09/27:  Tom Pyatt left Saturday's game in first period after being slammed into the boards by Buffalo pest Patrick Kaleta. He had to be helped off the ice and did not return to the game after sustaining an upper-body injury. Pyatt was likely heading to the minors anyway and does not have any fantasy value.
