2010/02/01:  The Flyers signed Lukas Krajicek to a contract. Krajicek was placed on waivers by the Lightning last week and the Flyers needed a depth defender with injures to Ryan Parent and Danny Syvret on their blueline. When he wasn't claimed, the Lighning terminated his contract and he became an unrestricted free agent. He is expected to make his debut Monday. He had just one assist in 23 games with Tampa Bay this year, but had 19 points last season. He should fit in well with the Flyers. (Source: Philadelphia Inquirer)
2010/01/23:  Ryan Parent is expected to miss six weeks due to a back injury. Parent is scheduled to undergo back surgery on Monday. "After running the gamut with Ryan in terms of different things we have tried to relieve the discomfort he was having, we felt this was the way to go for Ryan's overall health," Flyers GM Paul Holmgren said. If there's a silver lining in all of this for Parent, it's that Philadelphia won't play between February 13th and March 2nd anyways due to the Olympic break. He has two points and 14 penalty minutes in 28 games this season. (Source: NHL.com)
2010/01/19:  GM Paul Holmgren said that Ryan Parent (back) suffered a setback last week. Parent didn't skate with the Flyers' on Monday due to a herniated disk. He was initially projected to return to the Flyers' lineup this week, but that might not be possible. We'll keep you posted. (Source: Philadelphia Inquirer )
2010/01/08:  Danny Syvret has collected two goals in the past four games. Not bad for a guy who hadn't scored an NHL goal before then. Syvret will not tear up the league offensively, but he's filling in well as the Flyers sixth defenseman in Ryan Parent's absence, who may be out a while with a back injury. (Source: Philly.com)
2010/01/06:  GM Paul Holmgren said Ryan Parent (back) is about two weeks away from returning to the Flyers' lineup. Parent should resume skating with Philadelphia within the next few days. He is believed to be suffering from back spasms, but the Flyers haven't confirmed that. (Source: Philadelphia Inquirer )
2010/01/04:  GM Paul Holmgren denied a report that Ryan Parent's lower body injury is a herniated disc in his back. Parent left warmups on December 26th and he hasn't played since. Holmgren insists that Parent's injury is minor and the Flyers' still consider him to be day-to-day. Stay tuned. (Source: Philadelphia Inquirer )
2010/01/04:  A source said that Ryan Parent has a herniated disc in his back, according to the Philadelphia Daily News. Parent hasn't played since leaving warmups on December 26 with back spasms. He continues to be listed as day-to-day and GM Paul Holmgren only said that Parent is scheduled to be re-evaluated by another doctor in Philadelphia Monday. Consider him out indefinitely for now. The source added that the injury may require surgery. Stay tuned. (Source: Philadelphia Daily News)
2009/12/29:  Ryan Parent remained day-to-day with back spasms. He missed the last two games because of the injury and is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Rangers. (Source: Philadelphia Inquirer)
2009/12/27:  The Flyers will recall Danny Syvret before the start of Sunday's game. Syvret has two points and eight penalty minutes in 13 NHL games this season. He's filling in for Ryan Parent, who is day-to-day with a back injury. (Source: Philadelphia Inquirer )
2009/12/27:  Ryan Parent was kept out of Saturday's game due to back spasms. Parent experienced back spasms during the pre-game warmup after be slightly bothered by them in the morning skate. Consider him day-to-day for now. (Source: Philadelphia Inquirer )
2009/11/15:  Ryan Parent returned to the Flyers lineup Saturday. Parent missed the previous four games with a strained groin. He was held pointless in 14:35 of ice time. With just two assists in eight games this season, he isn't worth a fantasy roster spot. (Source: Philadelphia Inquirer)
2009/11/14:  Ryan Parent will return to the Flyer lineup Saturday after missing four games with a groin muscle strain. Oskars Bartulis, who filled in for Parent, will likley be returned to the Phantoms, the Flyers' AHL affiliate, some time on Saturday. (Source: Philadelphia Inquirer )
2009/11/11:  Ryan Parent (groin) practiced with the Philadelphia Flyers Tuesday. Parent might be able to play on Thursday, but his status won't be determined until Wednesday at the earliest. He has two assists in seven games this season. (Source: Philadelphia Inquirer )
2009/11/09:  Ryan Parent (groin) is doubtful for Philadelphia's game against Ottawa on Thursday. Parent was able to practice briefly on Monday, but it doesn't look like he'll be able to play on Thursday like he had originally hoped. He's been sidelined since October 31st due to a groin strain. (Source: Philadelphia Inquirer )
2009/11/09:  The Philadelphia Flyers have called up Oskars Bartulis. Philadelphia needed another defenseman with Ryan Parent and Ole-Kristian Tollefsen not expected to play Thursday. Bartulis has two goals and four points in 12 AHL games this season. (Source: Philadelphia Inquirer )
2009/11/06:  Ryan Parent (groin) will not return to the lineup Friday. The defender strained his groin on October 31 and will need a few more days to recover from the injury, which means he's doubtful for Saturday's game as well. (Source: Philadelphia Daily News)
2009/11/05:  The flu is making its way through the Flyers, leaving five players ill Wednesday. Daniel Briere, who is also suffering from a quadriceps injury, came down with the flu, as did Matt Carle, Ryan Parent, Daniel Carcillo and Arron Asham. The status of all five aren't known for Friday's game against the Sabres. (Source: Philadelphia Inquirer)
2009/11/01:  Ryan Parent is out for a week with a groin injury. Parent missed two games with a groin injury last week before returning to the lineup Saturday where he aggravated it. Bench him immediately. (Source: Philadelphia Inquirer)
2009/11/01:  Ryan Parent returned to action on Saturday October 31.
2009/10/30:  Kimmo Timonen practiced with Ryan Parent on Thursday. Timonen owns a horrendous -10 rating this season and his defensive partner, Braydon Coburn, is a -9. So coach John Stevens is going to switch up the pairing. With Parent returning Saturday from a groin injury, hopefully that will shake the other two out of their funk. Both Timonen and Coburn should be reliable fantasy contributors, but at this point they're just a detriment. (Source: Philadelphia Inquirer)
2009/10/29:  Ryan Parent (groin) will likely return to the lineup Saturday. Parent has been sidelined since October 16 with a nagging groin injury. He isn't an offensive defenseman, as his one point through six games proves, but he should help Philadelphia's defensive zone play, which has been inconsistent this year. (Source: Philadelphia Inquirer)
2009/10/17:  Ryan Parent will be out of action for at least 10 days due to a groin muscle injury sustained in Friday's 4-2 loss to Florida. He left the game after the first period and did not return. Look for the Flyers to recall a defenseman from the Phantoms before they play again on Tuesday. (Source: Philadelphia Inquirer)
