2010/02/01: The Flyers signed Lukas Krajicek to a contract. Krajicek was placed on waivers by the Lightning last week and the Flyers needed a depth defender with injures to Ryan Parent and Danny Syvret on their blueline. When he wasn't claimed, the Lighning terminated his contract and he became an unrestricted free agent. He is expected to make his debut Monday. 2010/01/23: Ryan Parent is expected to miss six weeks due to a back injury. Parent is scheduled to undergo back surgery on Monday. "After running the gamut with Ryan in terms of different things we have tried to relieve the discomfort he was having, we felt this was the way to go for Ryan's overall health," Flyers GM Paul Holmgren said. If there's a silver lining in all of this for Parent, it's that Philadelphia won't play between February 13th and March 2nd anyways due to the Olympic break.
