2009/11/17:  Boyd Gordon will not play on Tuesday due to a back injury. Gordon missed more than a month due to the back injury and he re-aggrevated it in his return to the lineup on Saturday. Consider him day-to-day for now. (Source: Washington Post)
2009/11/15:  Boyd Gordon was activated from the IL on Saturday November 14.
2009/11/14:  Mike Knuble's broken left finger will require corrective surgery. He will be out of action for 3-4 weeks. Look for Boyd Gordon to draw back into the Capitals' lineup in Knuble's place against the Devils Saturday night. (Source: Washington Post)
2009/11/12:  Boyd Gordon (back) has been given the green light to return to the Capitals lineup. Gordon might play for Washington as soon as Friday. He's been sidelined for 12 games due to a strained back. (Source: Washington Post)
2009/11/09:  Boyd Gordon (back) was on the ice for Washington's Monday morning practice. Gordon has been sidelined on a week-to-week basis due to a back injury, but the fact that he's back on the ice is a good sign. There's no word on when he might be able to return to Washington's lineup, but we'll keep you posted. (Source: Washington Post)
2009/10/16:  Boyd Gordon missed Thursday's game with a back injury. It isn't a serious injury, but his status for Saturday's match is questionable. He was replaced in the lineup by Keith Aucoin. (Source: Washington Post)
2009/10/15:  Boyd Gordon left Wednesday's practice early as a precaution for his wonky back. His back acted up Tuesday, which kept him off the ice. He should be fine for Thursday's tilt against San Jose. (Source: Washington Post)
2009/07/13:  The Washington Capitals have re-signed Boyd Gordon to a one-year/$761,250 contract. Gordon accepted the Capitals qualifying offer. Gordon is a fourth line player who is a lot better NHLer than fantasy player. He managed five goals and 14 points in 63 games last season. He chipped in with a meager 16 minutes in penalties. He has no fantasy value. (Source: Washington Post)
