Getting shots through to Henrik Lundqvist is no easy task; the Rangers are a shot-blocking machine.

Road to the Stanley Cup...
Despite not scoring, Game 1 began quite well for the Devils last Monday as they held a distinct advantage in play. That is, until the third period, when the Rangers proceeded to thread the needle three times to escape with shutout win. Game 2 goes tonight, again in Manhattan. Postseason essentials here:

PLAYER NEWS

Derek Morris, D
Phoenix Coyotes
2012/05/16:  Derek Morris received a kneeing penalty in Tuesday's Game 2 loss to Los Angeles, but he won't face supplemental discipline for the infraction. NHL Director of Player Safety Brendan Shanahan said via his twitter page that the two minute penalty on the play was sufficient punishment. The incident occurred during the third period on Kings defenseman Rob Scuderi. Morris, who has been steady on the blueline for Phoenix with five points and a plus-4 rating in 13 playoff games, will be eligible to play in Game 3 Thursday night. Shane Doan, RW
Phoenix Coyotes
2012/05/16:  Shane Doan won't be disciplined by the NHL for his boarding major in Tuesday's Game 2 loss to Los Angeles. League disciplinarian Brendan Shanahan ruled that Kings forward Trevor Lewis turned right before Doan made contact, which was the same view that the Phoenix captain had after the game. Doan was given a five-minute major for boarding and a game misconduct late in the second period. He has accumulated seven points in 13 playoff games and will be available for Game 3 on Thursday. Paul Gaustad, C
Nashville Predators
2012/05/16:  Paul Gaustad is eligible for unrestricted free agency this summer. The Predators gave up a first-round pick for him at the trade deadline, so they'll probably make a pitch to retain his services but he'll likely have to come at a cheaper rate after his previous cap hit was set at $2.3 million. Gaustad is a strong faceoff man, who can chip in some offense and physicality to a team's bottom-six forward group. (Source: The Nashville Tennessean)
